Every time I turn on my computer I have to open my 2nd cd-rom
If I don't its light will blink and it will not work, and my hd light stay lite. I'm running to hard drives, one dvd-rom and a cd-rom. asus mobo kv8 deluxe 2nd edition 3200 athlon 64 1gig mem msi geforce 6800 gt 256 every thing upto date. Let me know if ya can help..... Kevin aka Takeit |

If reseating the connectors in the back of the drive doesn't cure the
issue, I'd say the drive is going bad, and should be replaced. So your saying unplug it than plug it back in?

Yep, or as some say "Plug it out and plug it in". In case the
connections have partial connection and the movement is is causing the connection to be made. Off! Remove the AC power cord, remove PC cover, unplug and then reattach
the power and the data cable. Be careful not to remove or dislodge any other cables or components. put the cover back on and plug in AC and start it up again.
