Hi all.
A strange behavior. I've seen some people having the same problem, but no solution. Some time ago, I bought a bluetooth mobile phone (Sony T630) and then configured my system with the bluetooth connectivity. Despite the fact that the synchronization software with outlook is a crap, everything went fine and I was able to comunicate with my mobile to exchange pictures and others. It was also recognized as a bluetooth modem through a virtual com port and I'm able to access it. A bit later, I also tried to install a old Fax-modem to use the fax function. I then connected my old Zyxel to com1, and tried through Hyperterminal: result ok. But when I tried to discover it with the wizard of the control panel (Phone and modem options, [Modems], [Add]), no modem was found: the system is only looking for Bluetooth devices. Even stranger, if I check the "Don't detect my modem...", I only obtain a list of modems from Ericsson and Sony Ericsson. I then presume that my configuration was overwritten while I first installed my bluetooth modem. Does someone have a solution which does not imply a complete reinstallation ? Any help would be appreciated, even any clue that you would have. Thanks and regards, Luc |
