Default Just reformatted XP

Hi there, glad I found this forum

I reformatted my computer today and attempted XP back on. When I got
to the stage where I had to tick an agreement box, I couldn't because I
had trackball plugged in so I had to abort the process and start again
with a mouse plugged in. It went on all right but now I bootup, I get
Microsoft Windows XP home edition listed twice. The top one will open
up Windows okay, the bottom one will just open up a page with a message
saying Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware
configuration problem. I even tried installing and reinstalling again
but it is still there. Anyone know how to get rid of it because I
don't want to have to keep selecting it every time I can the computer
on?
