Unable to drag and drop to CD drive

I am suddenly unable to write files / backup to CD drive. Previously, when I
right-clicked a file and used the "Send To" option, my CD drive (E) would
come up and be an option. Now, E drive does not show up, even though I can
see it in My Computer.

If I open up 2 windows of my computer and "drag and drop" the files to be
written to "E" drive, the balloon of "files waiting to be written" comes up
up but I cannot initiate the CD wizard.. nothing happens when I try.

I am able to read all CD's from the E drive however... any ideas???
