Hi all. I'm on a laptop with XP SP2 and my graphics card is a GeForce FX Go 5200 (dunno what else you need to know, please let me know). Basically every so often the display will "stretch" so the whole screen is not visible, everything looks stretched out and weird (like widescreen) and the only solution is to close the laptop to put it on standby and when things start up again it's all hunky dory. The problem seems to happen almost every time I start a media program like iTunes or Windows Media Player, but sometimes happens randomly when I click on a random file/folder/whatever. Someone please help, this is driving me insane!!! -- noisecat |

Apply the latest video drivers from your laptop mftr.'s website for your specific model laptop. If that fixes the issue, great - you're done. If that doesn't fix the problem, contact the laptop's tech support. If it is a hardware problem (overheating, video chip failure, etc.) you can't fix this yourself. What happens if you reboot and not just resume from standby? Q |

I'll try the driver thing and hope it's that and not overheating Thanks for theadvice guys -- noisecat |
