Default USB Ports

Is there any way I can tell if my USB ports are version 1.0, 1.1 or 2.0? I
purchased the computer in 2002.

If you go into Device Manager and see if you have any entries under USB
devices mentioning Enhanced Host Controller, the word enhanced tells you
it is USB 2.

Thanks. Now, my desktop computer has four USB ports supported on the
motherboard. Will it mess things up if I add PCI USB card? If I do, can I
still use the existing 4 ports?

Ted and Julian, thanks for your prompt replies. This was my first try and
using this source for help. I will take the plunge and get and install a USB
2.0 card.
