Default Laptop memory question?

I know- may be a lame question, but I have an old laptop using pc66 memory.
Is pc100 backwards compatible? The chips I have are 66 meg sdram sodimm's
and am looking for a couple of 128's to bring up performance a bit. TIA for
any help.
Sam

Check with Kingston (www.kingston.com) and/or Crucial
(www.crucial.com) to see if they have modules avaiable for your
specific laptop make and model.

Their prices may be a bit higher than generic modules that you can
purchase at discount outlets, but the quality assurance they provide
is worth more than the price difference.

Good luck

Usually, PC100 memory "may" be backwards compatible with PC66. However, on
laptops, this "general" rule may not apply. Laptops are specific for their
memory requirements!
