howdy, I have a new wd passport 80 gig hd usb 2.0 hooked to an almost new
dell d810, which seems to work ok but also seems to cause blue screen of death when shutting down or when the 'puter goes on standby, etc. The error code is 0x0000009F, driver power state failure. This is XP so microsoft makes the driver, and canot rollback. Now I get BSOD when computer is shut down, whether or not the hd is connected. Anybody know what's going on? -- all it takes is just a little patience |

See "Troubleshooting a Stop 0x9F Error in Windows" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315249). |
