yuo originally said that there was connector that looked like an IDE
connector!!

why didn't you ask Gateway, if there is a IDE connector on MB?

wonder why it wasn' t mentioned when you ordered the IDE drive???

did cicuit city look at your computer?

what is model of gateway computer?

I assumed there would be an IDE connector, and I think the sales person
thought so too. There is one that looks similar, but it's a few pins
short.

so did you figure it out??

A SATA connector is a lot different than an IDE connector!!

Did yuo get an IDE ribbon cable with IDE drive?
obviously, won't fit into SATA connection on MB!!

I did figure it out, the MB has no IDE drive connector, so I got my
money back, and will eventually buy a second SATA HD. Didn't get one
yet cause they only had a 200GB one and I want a 250, plus I realized I
can get them cheaper than what that store had them for.
