I have a Dual Xeon workstation (XP Pro SP 2 full patched) that has 2GB
of Ram (2x 1GB ECC). When I start using 800MB+ of Ram report to Task Manager my system bogs down real bad. I usually start closing Programs that I can to get under 800MB use size. This helps and windows works normal again. This has been going on forever and I'm tired of it. I normally don't hit above 800MB allot so I have lived with it. I even tried new memory I had with now Luck. I tried the MS Memory tester with no luck finding error, but it says ECC might report good memory even when it's bad. Is this a Ram problem of is there a tweak I need to do to XP? My Pagefile was 2GB to 3GB but I just changed it to 786MB fixed to see if that helps. |
