The fact is that whether you know it or not (and since you are using the web interface, you probably don't know it) you are posting on Usenet and there are ways of posting that have evolved in order to get you the answers you need. See below for information that will help you get the most out of this resource. My comments to you were not meant to hurt your feelings but to maximize your chances of getting attention for your posts and to get good, accurate answers. For example, people who continually multipost, post in all capital letters, and/or don't provide enough information will quickly annoy the people who are trying to help them. The end result will be that they will not get the help they are seeking because no one will reply to their posts. Here is information to help you get the most out of Usenet newsgroups: Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups: Basics of Usenet: http://groups.google.com/support/bin...ge=basics.html http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page3.html#12-09-02 - a brief explanation of newsgroups Setting up OE as a newreader: http://michaelstevenstech.com/outloo...snewreader.htm http://rickrogers.org/setupoe.htm Posting details: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html http://aumha.org/nntp.htm - list of MS newsgroups microsoft.public.test.here - MS group to test if your newsreader is working properly http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm - how to munge email address http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm - multiposting vs. crossposting Malke -- MS-MVP Windows User/Shell Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic" |

Check the actual versions of the files compared to the ones available on the manufacturer's site. Microsoft also appears to change the way the drivers install. As I mentioned I have often found them hard to remove and install the correct drivers. The rollback function often doesn't work. Even uninstalling doesn't work sometimes. Almost everyone who regularly works on computers has run into this problem. Kerry |

You should have taken the time to learn how to post and how Usenet works. This is not like email, posting multiple descriptions of the same issue do not get you additional help, in fact, after seeing the same issue posted more than once, many will just ignore your problem. Usenet has been around for 20+ years, you might want to learn a little about the community before you start using it: http://dmoz.org/Computers/Usenet/Etiquette/ -- spam999free@rrohio.com remove 999 in order to email me |
