The sound you are hearing is probably IE's pop up blocker doing its job. You can turn this off in
the Internet Options or in the Pop-Up Blocker settings. -- Dave Vair CNE, CNA, MCP, A+, N+ "ATCStephen" <ATCStephen@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7CB3DE6C-8C6D-43D5-B799-59E8D2F4EDE7@microsoft.com... > Why do I get a clicking sound every time I click onto a new web page and how > can I get rid of it? Open Sounds and Audio Device Properties in Control Panel. On the Sounds tab scroll down to the Windows Explorer section and change "Start Navigation" to none. -- D I'm not an MVP a VIP nor do I have ESP. I was just trying to help. Its a windows system sound. FF clicks if the sound is turned on...and FF,
especially 1.5, hogs memory so make sure you have 10GB RAM. I won't try to convert you to anything but I
will give you an answer.. It is a system sound.. you must disabe it in "control panel" / "sound and audio devices" / "sounds" Choose theme no sound or edit manually.. Mike (Firefox.... wow) |
