Product: Seagate Travan TapeStor 40 ATAPI (IDE)
Region: Canada Question: I have installed the Travan in the extra floppy drive bay. It is recognized by the BIOS in the secondary slave position. The secondary master is a BENQ DL DVD burner. Upon boot, when the windows logo appears, the machine stops. I have the push the eject button for the machine to continue the boot process. The tape was not recognized by windows. When i try to manually install the drivers, I choose the .inf file on the CD put the device choice list is blank when I click OK in the browsing dialog box. I have intalled the drive on a machine with a P4 and windows XP Pro without a hitch. I have an MSI motheboard (K8N Neo4-F) with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Socket 939) with 1gb of ram. I have Windows XP home french SP2 installed on a SATA drive. All 4 IDE channels are used: Primary master : DVD drive Primary slave : Seagate ATA133 80 gig drive Secondary mast.: DVD Burner Secondary slave: Travan tapeStor 40 -- Compliquer les choses simples, c''''''''est facile. Simplifier les choses compliquées, c''''''''est du génie. |
