[ How to fix: The solution is very simple. Go to Device Manager/System Devices/VIA CPU to AGP Controller/Driver Update/Don't search (Install from list/I will choose) and select VIA Tech (orCPU) to AGP controller. This will install the drivers, pci.sys and viaagpi.sys. Reboot and the Video display adapter, S3 Graphics Pro Savage DDR will appear in the device listing, and the other features will be restored (S3 advanced display tabs, and ACPI power options). Hi - dont know if you will get this as it was 2003 when you posted this reply - just to let you know you saved me a lot of hassle getting this via etc back on to my computer to make the monitor pic to work right. other people said you had to download this and unlock zip, then burn that or it was other things. But your fix was simple - you got my computer back working again for the chrismas hols and releived a lot of strain with computer not working right- thank you - Rob Fraser -- johnstone |
