I have 2 pairs of RAM modules;
1. OCZ Gold Edition (2x512MB) (PN:OCZ4001024ELDCGE-K)(http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...l_channel_gold) 2. Samsung (2x512MB) (M368L6423ETM-CCC) (http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semi...68L6423ETM.htm) I have an Intel D875PBZ motherboard. These 2 pairs don't seem to work together. If I use all 4 modules at once they don't work. My computer keeps restarting at random times & after the restart I get an error message saying the computer has just recovered from a serious error & windows has made an error report and stuff. However when I use either one of the pairs it works fine without any problems. I have increased the voltage to the maximum my motherboard allows which is 2.775V & I have disabled ECC. Anything else I could try out ? Oh & I downloaded this memory test from www.memtest.org & when I ran the test with all 4 modules installed I got a failed test #5. However when I ran the test with either one of the pairs installed (only 2 modules) the test ran fine. Maybe that could help to find out what I could try so ya. Thanks for any help. |

You have a mis-matched pair of memory modules.
For best results all memory modules should be from the same manufacturer. Ok, I'll keep that in mind for the future but what do I do now that I already
have these 2 pairs. I cannot really return either to the seller cause they're old now & past the return day. Any suggestions ? Be specific in regards to what the modules are, allowing potential buyers to make the proper determination as to whether or not they will work in their systems. |

Ok but does this mean that no pair of OCZ Gold Edition RAM modules will work
with the Samsung modules or is it that this 'certain' pair will not work with the Samsung modules ?
