I got a USB mouse, and it installed fine, but when I restart the computer
AFTER shutting off the power strip, the USB mouse does not work - if I unplug the mouse and plug it back in, it is fine... If I leave the power strip on when I shut down the computer, it is fine... I thought it may be the mouse, but tried a different, known good, USB mouse with the same effect... Any ideas on how to resolve this? |

By killing the power at the strip the motherboard goes completely dead.
You may try setting the BIOS for USB "keyboard" and "mouse" OR use a PS/2 mouse OR don't kill power at the strip. help me wrote: > I got a USB mouse, and it installed fine, but when I restart the computer > AFTER shutting off the power strip, the USB mouse does not work - if I unplug > the mouse and plug it back in, it is fine...
