Default MYSTERIOUS COMPUTER PROBLEMS!

My computer started to shut down randomly which I thought it is after
installing a video card NVIDIA 6600 GT and my power supply is 450Watt and I
had total of 4 fans running including the CPU FAN, VIDEO CARD FAN and two
more extra fans. I removed one extra fan and now I have total of three fans
including the video card , cpu and the blow out fan! So the problem is when I
turn on the computer, when it comes to windows xp logo screen, computer shut
off itself sometimes even before!
Then I have to turn off the back switch of power supply and turn back on
before computer started up. I plug the power code directly to the wall, then
it seems kind of went away but not sure because it happens so randomly.
However, same thing I noticed one of my friend's computer. His computer shuts
off as soon as it turns on and he also has to unplug and wait 4 minutes
before plug the power code back in and start up windows. His computer also
randomly shut off itself. Sometimes, working real good without even turns
off. So I cleared the BIOS in his computer also as I did in my computer,
still having the problem. It is impossible to think that ACPI is having
problems because my friend bought the computer about an year a go maybe and
he said that this is started to happen after a while so we can assume that it
did work correctly for a while. He does not know much about computers to
change stuff in BIOS etc...

ALTHOUGH MOST OF THEM THINK THAT VIRUSES OUT THERE CANNOT INFECT MAINBOARDS,
IS THERE A POSSIBLITY THAT A VIRUS CAN RUIN YOUR MAINBOARD, ELSE WHAT MAKES
ALL THOSE COMPUTERS RANDOMELY SHUT OFF ITSELF IF VIRUSES CANNOT INFECT
MAINBOARDS OR IF A VIRUS INFECTED A MAINBOARD, HOW DOES IT MAKE THE COMPUTER
SHUT OFF ITSELF ONCE IN A WHILE INSTEAD OF ALWAYS ARE THE BUNCH OF QUESTIONS
STILL HIDDEN IN THE MYSTERY AND REAMIND TO BE ASKED!

I REALLY APPRECIATE EXPRESSING WHOEVER THAT HAPPENS THE SAME PROBLEM, THUS;
WE ARE ABLE TO COME TO A CONCLUSION THAT IS IT A MAINBAORD THAT IS INFECTED
BY A VIRUS OR IS IT SOMETHINGELSE THAT IS HIDDEN!

ALSO, REALLY APPRECIATE WHOEVER GIVING IDEAS WHERE WHAT NEEDS TO BE FOCUS?

THANK YOU ALL!

BY THE WAY, WHEN MY COMPUTER SHUT OFF ALL OF A SUDDEN, I NOTICE THAT MY BIOS
IS CLEARED I CHANGED THE BATTERY TOO BUT THAT DID NOT HELP TO PREVENT
SHUTDOWN PROBLEM SO FAR BUT COMPUTER NEVER SHUT OFF AFTER I PLUGGED IN TO THE
WALL PLUG POINT DIRECTLY. HOWEVER, HOW STRANGE IS THAT TO CLEAR THE BIOS IN A
COMPUTER AFTER SHUT OFF? THEN WHEN RECONFIGURE THE BIOS AND I THINK COMPUTER
DID SHUT OFF ITSELF ONE TIME AFTER THAT AND IT DID NOT CLEARED THE BIOS THAT
TIME! WHEN THE COMPUTER SHUT OFF, I CAN STILL THE KEYBOARD NUM LOCK LIGHT WAS
ON!

JUST TO GIVE MORE EXTRA INFORMATION THAT MIGHT HELP!
MYSTERIOUS PROBLEM HAPPENING TO MY FRIEND IS NOT SOLVED. MINE IS SAME THING
BUT MUCH BETTER AND I AM STILL SEARCHING FOR ANSWER HOW STRANGE THAT A
COMPUTER CLEARED IT'S BIOS ITSELF AFTER SHUT OFF ITSELF.

All these kind of things always related to power supply.
one time before my computer cannot start up normally I transfer it from one
room to another it just goes well;
Another time the weather is wet and computer does not start until I HEAT THE
POWER SUPPLY WITH A HAIR DRIER.
