Default XP Would not bbot

Trying to start my PC with Win XP. No beep signal and the screen is. black
Internal fan runs both on motherboard and graphics card. Controllamps on DVD
and CD-rom flashes on start up . Tried to run recovery CD. Same results.
Suspecting Graphics card is broken. Any one who can help me?

Hello again and thank you for helping!
Looked inside PC housing and checked cable connections on motherboard .
Restarted PC and there was one long beep and the HDD ligt was lit for appr.
5-10 sec. Still nothing on screen.
Monitor tested on other PC (laptop) and It works.

Any other suggestions?
