Default Microsoft Wireless Desktop 6000 doesn't allow sleep.

I just purchased a Desktop 6000, and it won't allow a screen saver or
sleep mode. The screen stays on all the time. Does anyone know how to
fix this.

Install the correct software for both the keyboard
and mouse and make sure the mouse is on a dull,
non-reflective surface or mouse pad.

I have the correct software installed, and the mouse is on a dull black
surface. The software is directly from the CD which is the latest. Then
I installed the software from the link you gave me.

Found out that it is a problem between Media Center Edition and the
mouse. Two startup items DVD Launcher and ehtray must be disabled for
screen saver and sleep to work.
