iTunes works fine, but when the new iPod Video is installed and connected,
it syncs and then freezes my system, can't disconnect unless rebooting the system. Under Computer Management>System, I found this: Event Source: PlugPlayManager Event ID: 256 Description: Timed out sending notification of device interface change to window of "program or service name and/or GUID." I'm using Dell 4700, Pentel 4 3.0GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, running WinXP Home Version 2002, SP2, w/McAfee Virus Scan, and Microsoft Antispyware Beta, and I have tried running with all other sys-tray items deactivated, including these, all with equal results. I have also uninstalled iPod, iTunes, and QuickTime, and reinstalled with stand-along QuickTime, same results. Any help appreciated. thx- c. |
