I'm using XP Pro with SP1. I have been unable to use my miniDV tape deck with Windows XP. The device manager recognizes it as an "AV/C Multifunction Device," but in device status includes the note "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) Where can I find the necessary drivers? Should XP have installed generic drivers? Can I avoid doing a repair installation? Thanks, Curtis Stanton Good Luck Curtis... I'm have'n simialr problems.... Receive'n that darn (code28) message.... I've installed a soundblaster aduigy 2Zs with a firewire port... My myystery device is a Pioneer A/V receiver with I llink (both the st'd 1394 firewire).. Thus my A/V unit tells me that it has no signal at that port... Have u had any luck finding a way to successfully download a suitable driver for a AV/C Multifunction Device? Or is this simply windows xp incompatiblity fore firewire/and A/v links? -- Norm |
