Default Philips CD Driver won't install.

Hi

I have an old but little used Philips CD Writer (CDRW48A).

I am using a Windows driver because I have an install problem with the
Philips CD but the results are constant hangups.

The Philips install program tells me that......

[IS ph1] Error : Dfw dll is not properly initialised (line 7 from bottom)
[IS ph1] Warning : Setup will exit (line 6 from bottom)

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Complete installation run follows:

Default Re: Philips CD Driver won't install.

Hi

This is interesting stuff but I seem to be out of luck.

Firstly, I had already upgraded to 1.5 but without success.

However, the installer for your version 1.6 doesn't seem to work on my
computer.

There are no drives listed to flash and the refresh button doesn't seem to
work either.

Any ideas why this might be so?

Thanks in advance
