This may not be the appropriate place to ask but I couldn't think of a
better newsgroup at the moment. I just bought an external hard drive which comes with a stand designed to hold the drive on its side (ie: spinning on a horizontal axis rather than lying flat). Is this a good (or even acceptable) idea? Peter |

You can operate a hard drive in any position.

With today's drives, as long as you don't interfere or obstruct cooling,
drive orientation is immaterial.
