serial to usb conversion
Some of the earlier generation Wacom tablets were supplied with a
serial (RS323) interface and a separate power supply. Is it possible to use a simple converter plug (serial to USB) to attach the device to a USB port? If so, will the tablet then be powered via the USB connection? Mike.

There are converters (google for them) but USB is limited to about 500ma
