Default serial to usb conversion

Some of the earlier generation Wacom tablets were supplied with a
serial (RS323) interface and a separate power supply. Is it possible
to use a simple converter plug (serial to USB) to attach the device to
a USB port? If so, will the tablet then be powered via the USB
connection?

Mike.

Default Re: serial to usb conversion

There are converters (google for them) but USB is limited to about 500ma
so you may or may not have that working depending on the tablets power
requirements.
