I purchased a GFOrce FX 5500 PCI 128MB DDR graphics card, which I have no
problem installing. When I put in the installation CD, nothing. It is not recognized. Found out my graphics card is integrated and I cannot figure out how to disable it. I was told either flip a switch on my motherboard or disable it on my start menu. Cannot find anywhere to do it. Any help? |

Cannot find anywhere to do it. Any help? Normally found in CMOS settings. Look for a message similar to "Press Delete to enter Setup" on one of the EARLY screens of you startup. The exact screen content and key to enter setup / CMOS configuration varies with different motherboard models and manufacturers. This is a function of your motherboard and NOT under the operating system's control. These settings are NOT normally accessable once the operating system has loaded. |

If it can't be disabled in the bios as suggested you may need to switch a
jumper on your motherboard. Best thing is to research your motherboard or contact the computer maker to find out exactly what needs to be done.
