In June of 2005 I purchased a computer from Dell, included with it was:
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2, English, part # 4C490 About a month ago a small padlock looking icon appeared on my desktop and I could not make it go away, at about the same time some of the formatting on a PhotoShop toolbar disappeared (same thing on MathType, another application). I called Dell and they told my that my 4 year extended warranty did not apply because they said it was a problem with the Microsoft product (they knew this instantly without asking me any questions). Would anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it. Les Coover |
