I'm using a Dell Dimension 3100.
Since last night, everytime I boot up or reboot, the pc freezes at the BIOS screen and only after pressing F2 or F12 will it continue to the Windows logo screen and everything's ok after that. It all started with an "Auto Adjust In Progress" message displayed during bootup (freezes until I press F2), Windows logo screen and Welcome screens but after running auto adjust on the 19" LCD, that message disappeared. But it bugs me to have to press a key to continue after each Boot/Reboot. Is it a problem with some corrupted files? I've run CHKDSK and all 5 steps are ok. Ran defragment too. If it's not some corrupted files or something, and if it's also possible, how do I get to not have to press a key to continue booting? Thanks in advance for any help. |
