Help!!!
I seem to be fine connecting to the internet but each time I try to open a file or run a program my machine hangs. For e.g. when attempting to open an excel spreadsheet the following error is produced in the Event Vier: Hanging application EXCEL.EXE, version 9.0.0.2719, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000. When attempting to play via Window Media Player I get a message telling me: "Your computer is running low on memory. Quit other programs, and then try again." Can anyone help, I fear I'm infected? |

When researching the meaning of the error, information regarding Event ID,
Source and Description are important. HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event Viewer. Now start your message(email) and do a paste into the body of the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer. Hope this helps.
