Hi All,
I've been trying to get Windows Scheduled Tasks to run a simple batch file each day that kicks off some data export and backup routines. So far, not so much luck... Basically when I try to create the Task, I put my Windows login ID (my login is configured as a Computer Administrator) in the "Run as:" text box, then put my password in via the "Set password" button, but when I click on "OK", I get the following error: <error> An error has occurred while attempting to set task account information. The specific error is: 0x80070005: Access denied. You do not have permission to perform the requested operation. </error> I Googled on the error and found the following workaround, and have followed the steps to add "Access this computer from the network" to my login ID, but still have the same exact problem. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;884573 Does anyone have any more thoughts? Alternatively, does anyone know of any alternative freeware scheduling software for Windows XP? Much warmth, planetthoughtful |
