Windows XP Updates Fail
I am running my PC under Windows XP Pro v. 5.1.2600.
I have been unable to install 3 downloaded MS updates, despite successfully installing MS Installer 3.1 v.2. I am running Norton and have disabled and Internet Protection during the attempted install, but still no success. Since then the system has got increasingly cranky not allowing a System Restore (program not responding) and often not allowing me to open System from the Control Panel, which may or may not be related to the above problem. Anyone got any ideas? -- Chris J
