Where is Kelly's page?
So far MS asked me to export the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents registry key from another user profile into mine. It didn't work. Hey Dan
This is the "fix" from Kelly's page, in case you haven't found it yet... nothing about exporting anything... try it... "System Sounds are missing: Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key: HKEY_USERS. If it doesn't have a Data entry in the right pane that reads: (value not set), double click (Default) and delete it. If it does, check your HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21 keys for the same." Mine hade "Drea" where it should have had (value not set) and as soon as I deleted that it reverted to "value not set" and I had my system sounds back! See what yours has... Where I found the "fix" ... http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/top10faqs.htm .... "Where did my sounds go?" Good luck! Andrea "CraZyDan." <CraZyDan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C49F631C-9B5C-4AB7-8EBC-FD3663121945@microsoft.com... > Where is Kelly's page? > > So far MS asked me to export the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents registry key > from another user profile into mine.
