Hi,
I don't know what I did...but everything was fine before... I have 3 computers...2 desktops and a laptop. Laptop/desktop2 has winxp home, and desktop1 has winxp pro. Desktop 1 is connected by wire to the router. Laptop/desktop2 are wireless. I use dlink wireless router. The home computer network was setup using the microsoft home or small office network setup wizzard in my network places. Anyhow here is what is happening: Laptop and Desktop2 can see each other, and share files, and they see each other in the workgroup window. Desktop1 can't see the laptop or desktop2 in the workgroup, just itself. Also it can't share files with Laptop, but can share files with Desktop1...I don't know what to do. I did change my computer name on Desktop1...but I changed it back and still nothing works. I tried reruning that network wizzard...nothing. Im lost. Please help...I don't know very much about networking....unfortunatelly. |

You need to create a firewall "exception" rule to allow "file/printer sharing." Also make sure that the default "guest" account exists. -- --- Y. |

I turned the firewall OFF on Desktop1(the one with the problem)
I don't know about the guest account? How do you check it? |
