Windows XP Pro:
My computer usually boots up and automatically loads the Administrator account as it is the only account on the system. While troubleshooting my system, I installed a dummy account called 'DeleteMe' to test the possibility of a corrupt profile. Now my system will not auto-logon to the Administrators account, but instead auto-logs onto the 'DeleteMe' account instead. I have, of course, attempted to delete the 'DeleteMe' profile, but it doesn't allow it, because it's the only non-Administrative account installed and seems to want to stick to that., Question: How do I reverse what I've done and delete the 'DeleteMe' profile and make the computer auto-log onto the Administrator account. Thanks in advance, Michael Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- ** SPEED ** RETENTION ** COMPLETION ** ANONYMITY ** ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

By design, the only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login dialog box. -- Bruce Chambers Help us help you: http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html You can have peace. Actually I meant to say that I did try that, because when I log into the
Administrators account and go into User Accounts in the Contol Panel, it doesn't give me the option to delete the 'DeleteMe' account, just change name, create password, change picture, etc. Any ideas on how to delete the 'DeleteMe' account?
