Every start-up, I recieve a Security Accounts Manager error: handle is not
valid. Error 0xc0000008, from Issas.exe. Working on Windows XP, SP2, standard layout. The problem with this error is it disallows the starting of Windows and then says it'll start in Safe Mode, nope, won't do it, goes to the basic Windows mode. So, I decide to manually start in Safe Mode, in fact, all three flavors of Safe Mode, but I get the same error. Anything special in terms of system information? Well, a night or two ago I got an update message and then a failure to reboot message after it automatically restarts (I was asleep at the time.) Not realizing this, I got a message from the Webroot product Spy Sweeper that a new file has been found on my system. I select remove. A bit later, I noticed that an application has been running in the background, "dumprep.exe," increasing in devoted system resources and even duplicating, I end this and run Spy Sweeper, nothing too bad. To be safe, I ran Ad-Aware, just to pick up what it could have left behind, nada. Because I'm paranoid, I ran HiJackThis (in case you haven't noticed, I have had some problems with this junk in the past, college networks tend to often be targets and then spread when the computers are brought back) and compared the log to previous logs and nothing was out of the ordinary. Today, after a restart, I get the message. If it helps, I'm running a home LAN (but it's not the service computer) and it's a laptop. Sorry about being long, but you never know what information may be helpful. |

Anyone? Any help? Should I include more information? |
