Are you using XP Home Or Pro
If it's Home you cannot log on as the Administrator unless you are in safe mode. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;290109 Regards John MCP "gunga" <gunga@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3132025C-8FF8-4F55-A03B-F05A305E3BAC@microsoft.com... > When starting my PC, the Log On to windows box appears asking for the > Administrator Password. > > When entered another box appears with the message "Unable to log you on > because of an account restriction" > > I am totally stuck here.
