Most entities that evaluate software like that have a specialty. Googling is likely to bring up results if you are more specific with your search. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |

The key word is "OBJECTIVE". If I do a search, I'm at the mercy of the
search engine. I don't want to guess at which ones will be objective. Same answer - depends on the software.. You would also have to know about the entity doing the evaluation - whether they are being objective or not. For example - you would assume (possibly incorrectly) that an individual givig opinions on epinions.com about a product is objective - but you do not know if they work for the company or were paid by the company in question for endorsments and are therefore just excited about the money - not the product. The only thing you can do when researching a product (software or otherwise) is to read as many reviews as you can find - try to find pages like Amazon.com's reviews, Buy.com's reviews, NewEgg.com's reviews, epinions.com, betanews.com, etc.. that have reviews done by people just like you - who bought/used the product and wanted to come back and say something. Weight those in your own mind - because you can never be sure (100%) just how objective the reviews/evaluations were. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |
