I have had flash drive. that I used before automatically show up in the My
Computer window. I have 2 other USB flash drives that are working properly, but put another one in, and it is a San Disk 512 M. It shows up in My Computer as drive P, but has no information on it, and is not accessible. I have seen where you are supposed to use a file called usbXXXX.sys with flash drives, but this drive doesn't have that file shown as part of the driver package. Why can't Windows XP Pro determine that a device is a USB flash drive and not some other sort of Storage. I seems to think that this device is a CD drive. Right now, the new USB Flash drive is sitting there as drive P, but can't seem to do anything with it. Any ideas of how to move ahead to be able to use this drive that I got as a Christmas Present!!!! Ron Geiken "Enkidu" wrote: > > Tom, are you sure?
