i was told several months back that i had spyware and that it affected my
operating system. to this day i have found no spyware, just messages that it attempted to access my computer. when i sign in as administrator i cannot type in the search engine to get to msconfig. my computer just locks up and i have to reboot. my antivirus people who were supposed to be experts still cannot help me figure out the problem. also when a browser page is left idle for a certain period of time it closes automatically when the mouse is moved, some pages dont close like they should-they scroll down the screen very slowly to close out. personally, i think they had me delete something that i shouldn't have from the registry editor and thats causing some of the problem. is there anyone out there who can help me? i thank you in advance ![]() |

Sometimes system files can become damaged. You might consider running the
System File Checker utility. It will replace any missing or damaged system files. You must have your XP CD available to do this--don't run it if you don't have the CD handy! Click Start, then Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit enter. Good luck and let us know how you solved your problem!
