I have been told that this a HUGE hidden "history" of my computer. I let it
try for over 2 hours. The CPU Performance usage in Task Manager is at 100%. I'm afraid to stop it. Does it usually take this long? Should I let it go or stop it. AOL Computer Check-Up told me to DeFrag but DeFrag said I didn't need to. -- I appreciate any advise or direction from ALL of you who have been paying attention. Thanks! Mary |

It was solved by doing a "Scan Disk". When that was completed Defrag worked fine and still does. Here are the steps for doing a Scan Disk : 1. Start 2. My Computer 3. Right click on C:/ 4. Click properties (at the bottom) 5. Click on Tools 6. Click on "error checking" 7. Check both boxes and proceed to scan. -- ronmac60 |
