Hi
That's the way XP works. It doesn't effect the files in those folders though. -- Will Denny MS MVP Windows Shell/User Please reply to the News Groups "dumbo" <dumbo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9D40A8F9-C680-414A-B9CC-154796253684@microsoft.com... > all my folders have suddenly become read only.I can uncheck the read only > box > but when I click on ok it canges back to read only |

Hi
Have you installed any software that might have made the change? If not, try a System Restore back to a point before the problem started. -- Will Denny MS MVP Windows Shell/User Please reply to the News Groups "dumbo" <dumbo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ABB30E77-6AC0-4DBE-A97E-642A68D0BDE0@microsoft.com... > thanks Will but it didnt work like that yesterday and now I cant save any > files is there any way I can change it back > > "Will Denny" wrote: > >> Hi >> >> That's the way XP works.
