Default Com Port 1 fails to respond when connecting ProntoPro

I am trying to connect to my ProntoPro remote control and I get a
message saying that the Com 1 port is in use by another application.
All works OK on another similar machine. How can I find out which
applications are trying to use the port at the same tome as the
Pronto?

David
