This problem just started after having worked flawlessly for 6 months. I
attempt to perform a save data backup, the items write to the temporary burn folder, but the icon to start writing doesn't pop up. Going into my computer, and double clicking the D drive gives an error message (can't write to disc) instead of showing me the temp folder. I can't even find the location of the temp folder on the C drive. I've used the restore wizard to no avail. The hardware works. I can write if I manually do so with SONIC, but it's convenient to have the automated wizard function for simple file backups. Thus, 2 questions: 1: Where are the temp files on the C drive? 2: Any idea why the wizard just suddenly failed and what to do about it? Thanks |

Thanks, Will. That at explains why it happened, annoying nonetheless. It's
odd it happened all of a sudden, without me doing anything differently than before. I have a Dell PC, and both Sonic and the XP CD Write Wizard came with the preloaded system and both worked before without disabling one or the other. Oh well, I'll just stick with Sonic I geuss. It works. Any better freeware CD write software?
