go to www.bootdisk.com and download files for bootable win XP floppy.
it has boot files and a new boot.ini file

hopefully yo have a floppy drive.

once in windows, reset boot.ini using msconfig.

Unfortunately, I do not have a floppy drive on my laptop.

I think there are CD versions also.
