Since my search in Microsoft.com on GDWH did not turn up anything, I am
putting a new topic here. In Windows XP I am getting freezes after installing McAfee Privacy Service 7 shortly after WinAmp starts. In the restart there is the message "GDWH is not responding". After a lot of searching and finding many false leads, I found a post in WinAmp forums suggesting uninstalling McAfee Privacy Service. I found that disabling Privacy Service allowed WinAmp to run. Any ideas on getting these to run together in Windows XP? Aso what is GDWH? |

"I(s)" don't refer to me!!! Was posted originally in Dell's Community Forum: (Dell Windows XP Pro with McAfee SecurityCenter) Regarding the mysterious and frustrating error message "End Program GDWH - Not Responding" I was setting up a new Dell PC with McAfee SecurityCenter preinstalled by Dell. I configured everything except the Privacy Service and the Spamkiller. I wanted to wait until I was with the user to set these up. RESOLUTION???? Until I uninstalled the Privacy Service component (under Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel) I could not find the source of this error - nothing in registry or services etc. Very frustrating. I will reinstall this at a later time when I have user info to complete the setup. I would suggest trying this and see if this solves your problem. I wonder why Dell doesn't document this?
