Hi,
I'm running Win WP Home SP2 on a ASRock K7S8X motherboard. Everything was fine, untill last week when my CANON EOS Digital camera was not recognized any more (it was before): the device manager shows UNKNOWN DEVICE under the USB ROOT. This is very odd because the camera works fine on my laptop (win 2000 pro) and other USB devices like a printeror 2 USB sticks work fine too on the desktop. I bought a CF Reader and it is not recognized too!!!! I tried to update the USB drivers but I didn't succed. PLEASE HELP! |

Perhaps you have a bad USB port. If XP can't see a card reader, there is something wrong with the port. Jim |

No, Neil. I don't know how further I need to go back, but I'll give it a try!

Yes Mike, it was the first thing I did. This did not help.

Jim, what do you mean by something wrong with the usb port?
The other peripherals work fine on the same ports...
