Default Hotfix 909095 and Obtaining it?

Hi All

I have the problem where upon when the computer is 2Gb of RAM is set to
hibernate the system comes up with "Insufficient System Resources Exist to
Complete the API." and then disables the ability to hibernate until the next
restart.

I found the KB article 909095 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909095/en-us
that describes a hotfix for this problem.

It says that I need to contact Microsoft for this fix. I built the computer
myself and installed the Operating System from a OEM CD that was provided
with the hardware I purchased to build it.

I am reluctant to call Microsoft as they may charge me UKP £69+Tax to obtain
the patch files, even though it states in the KB article

"Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support
calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a
specific update will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will
apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the
specific update in question."

Is there any other method available to obtain the HotFix? Thanks

Shunts...

The only way to obtain a hotfix is to contact Microsoft support.
They do not charge for hotfixes if you specifically mention
the KB article.

OK if thats the only way to get hold of it then I may as well wait for a
rollup.

I'm not in the game of paying £69+ for a patch - I got stung like that
before with Microsoft - told it was free then ended up paying. Even after
quoting the KB Article perhaps the US support do things different to
Microsoft Support UK.
