Cannot start XP firewall, help will not display, cannot print

Yep. I have three problems in one. The Windows XP firewall will not activate,
and gives me the message that it cannot start the ICS service. The other two
may be related or not... I can print a test page in XP, but cannot print from
IE or AOL. No print queue shows up, and nothing happens. Help will not
display, either. When I try to go to Windows help and support, the hard drive
works and nothing shows up on the screen.

Do you have the baics covered?
1. Windows XP Service Pack 2
2. Up to date anti-virus and anti-spyware
3. Up to date with hotfixes/patches (Automatic Updates turned on)

RE: Cannot start XP firewall, help will not display, cannot print

Yes to all. I am using AVG 7.0 free edition for anti-virus. It was up to date
as of the time the error started. Auto updates are turned on, and it updated
itself right away when I connected to the Internet.

This particular machine has been nothing but trouble for me, and there
constantly seems to be errors like this happening. Very irritating...
