it started a few months ago, i start a game (has happened with multiple
programs, not all games) and the pointer either vanishes or freezes. the thing is that the mouse is still active. if moved, items on the screen highlight or react with the mouseover feature but the pointer remains stationary or gone. exiting the program does nothing the pointer is still frozen and the mouse still responds if moved. i end up having to reboot. i have windows xp, an nvidia geforce vcard with latest drivers |

If so, try reinstalling it. Another thing to try is switching it for a known good mouse. That should at least get you somewhat started. -- Evolution54 |
