D drive won't read disks
My D Drive won't read any disks. I put a disk in the drive and it says please
place disk in drive. Earlier this year, I had my computer fixed and when I came home it was fine. Weeks later it won't read disks. Temporarily I have been using my E Drive. What should I do to get it working?

If its in device mgr,R.click on the drive,select uninstall,then close
out,shut- down computer,power off.Place the cdrom or rw on another IDE connection, set the jumper pins as needed (place after a hard drive),then power on,start xp.XP will reinstall it on restart. However, most likely you need a new drive. Jim
