Hi,
Not sure where to post this one so if I am wrong I apologize. In the My Documents folder most of the file names are listed in black font. Some have recently changed to blue color font. I have no idea why this happened, I only know that it happened a few weeks ago. It seems to be random. I thought mabye it was files created by other users, or files from previous years but that is not consistant. The actual file contents seem to be fine... it is just not "normal" to see blue and black file names throughout the folders. I would like to understand how/why this happened and return to one color font (black) if possible, unless there is some good reason for this. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 on a Dell 6000 Inspiron, McAffee virus scan. I also sinc files using second copy 2000 with a desktop running XP Pro SP2, Bitdefender virus scan, but the files on the desktop are not having the same issue. The desktop is fat32 and the laptop is NTFS if that makes any difference. Does anyone have a clue about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy new year! Files with blue names have been compressed by XP.

Hi,
Thanks M and D, and Will, I appreciate the quick response. It does not happen on my desktop so it was foreign to me. I will look through the information. Thanks again!!
